Marsha is a photographer, born and raised in Denison, Iowa, where she also
graduated from Midwestern College. During 25 years in Houston, she discovered her angels and began her special photography
of them. Now back home, she daily enjoys "working with her angels."
While living in Houston, Marsha gained valuable experience in the television industry both on and off
camera with Medical Television, sponsored by Baylor College of Medicine. She continued in the field as News Media Producer
at NASA's Johnson Space Center.
A Houston television program, featuring Marsha and her art recorded her saying, "I have worked with
various forms of photography all of my professional life, but it wasn't until I discovered the challenge of using light and
color, that 35 mm became a whole new avenue of expression for me." Much of her work represents her own struggle for
higher consciousness through a juxtaposition of visual reality with abstract thought and emotion.
The artist explains, "While reading a translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls, I kept returning to passages
relating the struggle of the Spirits of Truth and Falsehood within us and the joy of how the Angels of Light help to release
that struggle. It is that very release that I continue to try to convey through my photography of angel statues.
I find this image comforts the viewer and communicates very spiritual ideas.
"My recent triumph over ovarian cancer caused me to deepen my understanding and faith in God and His
healing as well as His angels, who have given me much comfort and strength."
